In response to continued business growth and increased demand from the United States market for its World Class GMP sterile manufacturing capabilities, Symbiosis is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee-Jay Strifler, a highly experienced and US-located Business Development Manager to the growing global Symbiosis commercial team.
Lee-Jay will be responsible for developing a focused business development strategy to capitalise on the growing demand for Symbiosis’ fill finish services in the U.S. West Coast region. Specifically, he will target the promotion of both the Symbiosis clinical-trial-scale and commercial-scale sterile drug product manufacturing offerings.
This appointment reaffirms the strategic ambition of Symbiosis to be a successful global Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) and its commitment to developing its geographical presence in support of both new and existing drug-developing clients in North America. Strifler joins Symbiosis with over 20 years of commercial career experience and an exceptional track record in sales and strategic business development in several previous roles for some of the key players in the pharma, biotech and contract manufacturing sectors.
Strifler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Iowa State University, and subsequently graduated with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Symbiosis, Strifler served as Business Development Director at Recipharm AB (HQ Sweden), where he was key in Business Development of clinical and commercial customers for Oral Solid Dose manufacturing and development for the North American Market., as well as distributor channel management. He also worked as a Business Development Manager for LSNE Contract Manufacturing- PCI Services (Bedford, NH) where he was responsible for territory development for sterile fill finish of liquid and lyophilised presentations in vials, PFS, BFS and ophthalmic applications through the management of three key manufacturing sites (2 NA and 1 EU). Before this, Strifler spent 9 years working with a start-up AI development company and in management, marketing, and product sales and support roles for Novartis (Basel, Switzerland).
